My husband Greg’s favorite thing to do is to go fishing. This can be a solitary sport. As for me, when I go with him, I read while he fishes. To each his own solitude!

“There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free.

Don’t miss so many of them. “ ~ Jo Walton ~

My granddaughter Sara loves to go to the beach any chance she gets. She loves the sand, the waves, the sun. And when we called to see if she could join us for a late afternoon at Siesta Beach, I knew she’d say yes!  We had some fun with the sunset here.

26. Light and Airy (Week 40)

“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward,

for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”   ~ Leonardo da Vinci ~

We were enjoying the sunset over the Gulf on Bradenton Beach with friends when we heard a bit of a noise in the sky.  We watched as two gas-powered parachutes were coming from the north and headed across the sunset.  Imagine the unrestricted view the occupants were having as they floated at bird speed across the sky over us.  For a moment they circled above us before they slowly continued south down our beautiful coastline.

A5. Silhouettes (Week 38)

” Don’t forget:

Beautiful Sunsets

need Cloudy Skies…”

~ Paulo Coelho ~

While I was seated on a restaurant deck with a group and we were waiting on our dinners, I enjoyed looking at the silhouettes cast on the wall…
